Zavvi emerged from the ashes of the old UK retailer, Virgin Megastores.

In December 2008 Zavvi was been forced to stop selling music, DVDs and games from its website following Woolworths slide into administration. Although it's not part of the Woolworths group, Zavvi relied on the Woolworths-owned Entertainment UK to supply CDs, DVDs and games.

In early 2009 Zavvi went into Administration, but hopes are high now that a new buyer for the company has cone forward. ZAVVI will be back online soon.
